Senior Picture, anyone?
The Backstory!!!
I lifeguard. A lot. And today we got bored so my manager grabbed the bottle of sunscreen - the sprayon kind - and wrote her name on the cement. Well! I was not to be outdone. So I created the masterpiece of graffiti skillz that you see above. And then I posed with it, on which my fellow guard commented, "That'd make a really great senior picture!"
So remind me this time next year, pleazekaythanx.
Also. Dad dyed my hair red, and I picked an almost unrealistically bright color this year. I love it muchly and it makes my hair really soft!

Hoo Boy.
Summer is supposed to be three months of the three R's - rest, relaxation, and reading! Well, for me, anyway. I know for a fact that most kids don't read in the summer, unless you count Facebook posts and text messages.
My summer has not been ANYTHING like that. Except for Twilight and Breaking Dawn, both of which I read this weekend (Breaking Dawn was so amazing that I don't even want to talk about it, by the way) I have maybe read one or two books. ALL SUMMER.
Why is this? June, I coached, taught, babysat, and lifeguarded, coming home at 9 utterly exhausted. July I babysat, lifeguarded, and went to Girls' Camp, youth conference, and the stake priest/laurel Palmyra trip. August, I'm lifeguarding EVERY SINGLE FREE DAY I HAVE, whilst I put the finishing touches on lots of things and prepare my room for packing.
I'm not really sure that I'm complaining, though. Yes, I would have liked to have more time to hang out with my friends, sleep in, and read books, but if my hours weren't scheduled for me would I actually have done any of that? Or would I just have lolled around the house in my pajamas playing Final Fantasy 8? Unknown. But probably the latter. When I was younger that's what I did, and summer seemed to take FOREVER. And this summer flew by. Also, I made more than one bucket-load of moolah. In celebration, I bought myself a pair of kickin' Chucks. Woot!
I lifeguard all next week, go on one last vacation with my family, pack up my rooms into boxes and bags, go to Utah with Mom and Ben, and then 'I'm Leavin' On a Jetplane!'
Auf wiedersehen, dudes.

Wanamachapizta?
The Winter Quarters Temple really isn't big enough for a wedding. This became evident to me today as I attempted to squeeze into the waiting room and found it extremely difficult due to the face that I was swamped by women all wearing the same dress. Then and there I vowed to get married in a white dress in the temple to the man of my dreams... and to not tell anyone about it. What an annoyance, all these people!
Despite the fact that Dad interviewed around 10 people on Wednesday for today's temple trip, only 4 went. It was Beth's first temple trip, her comment was, "It was less complicated than I thought it would be." That's the plus about our church - great organization skills!
My friend Jackie was also at the temple with her branch. She graduated at semester and is going to BYUI in June. I can't understand why anyone would do that- if she could graduate, then second semester could have been filled with free college classes. Now she has to pay money to get the same credit. I just don't think she liked school very much, for which I can't blame her.
